Merritt led 2-1 after the first with Jeremiah Luedtke scoring for Prince George. Cam Lawson tied the game at 7:09 of the second period. And there was no scoring in the third or overtime.
Merritt outshot the Kings 36-26, including 8-4 in overtime. Kirk Thompson made 34 saves for the home team.
Prince George is now tied for first in the Mainland Division with Coquitlam with 8-points. The Spruce Kings have three wins, a tie, and an OT loss.
