Shooting Suspects Arrested In High-Risk Takedown
Prince George, BC – RCMP, with the assistance of the North District’s Emergency Response Team, conducted a high-risk takedown of two suspects, believed to be armed and dangerous, wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred in the Hart on Thursday afternoon.
Media Liaison Officer, Corporal Craig Douglass, says ERT members located the suspects in a vehicle at the corner of Highway 97 and Estavilla Drive at the north end of the city at approximately 8pm last night. A 33-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, both Prince George residents, were immediately arrested and are facing a number of charges. Corporal Douglass says the charges will be released once approved by Provincial Crown Counsel.
Douglass says the RCMP’s Serious Crimes Section continued to work throughout the night, obtaining and conducting two search warrants at two residences within the city – one being on the 41-hundred block of Knight Crescent, the other on Bedard Road. A third search warrant has been issued for the vehicle and that search is currently underway. Corporal Douglass says, "During these searches, a number of evidentiary items were seized including two firearms."
A 39-year-old man was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds after being shot in a home along Northwood Pulpmill Road just before 3:30pm on Thursday. The victim underwent surgery and was in critical condition, but is expected to survive. Both the victim and the property were known to police and the victim had not been cooperating with investigators.
Back on June 23rd, RCMP were called to a a home in the 41-hundred block of Knight Crescent after the discovery of a man’s body. The death of 22-year-old Jordan Christian Reno has been ruled a homicide. No arrests have been made in connection with that murder. Corporal Douglass says that, "Although the Prince George RCMP are not in a position to confirm details of this investigation, investigators can say that it is not related to the homicide of Jordan Christian Reno."

things are getting restless on the Hart, then again maybe two birds were taken out with one stone on this one.
Retaliation?
22 is way too young to die, especially at the hands of someone else
Glad no one was hurt. Well done!
Woo! High Risk Takedown! Sounds like something you’d hear in a movie, or read in a book from the drama section.

Thank God I do not live in Prince George.
DPJ,

One can be a doer and make your home better, or one can be a fear monger and make things worse. Im pretty sure which one you fall into.
It appears PG will be moving back closer to #1 as crime capital of Canada.
Newspaper called the shooting random. I am starting to think not.
Do we have crime fighters or what. Are we still Number 4 on the crime list or are we winning?
Cheers
A lot of people are completely lawless. The police have a tremendous amount of rules of law and regulations that make it very hard to do the job we ask them to do. They get criticised severely over the slightest controversial thing. I think they are doing a teriffic job in a very difficult atmosphere and they are doing it for the good of us all. Try to remember that.
We Have 128 policemen and they cant controll the crime in a City of 72,000. Someone needs to look imnto what theuy are doikng and hopw oits done.
Cheers
