Man faces String of Charges in Terrace Drug Bust
Terrace, B.C.- A 14 month long drug investigation in the northwest of B.C. has resulted in the arrest of one man, and seizure of drugs and guns from 5 search locations in Terrace.
The investigation, called E-Neocortex, was lead by the Federal Drug Enforcement Branch, but involved RCMP detachments throughout North District.
Search warrants resulted in three marijuana grow ops being dismantled, more than 500 plants being seized, as were 110 long guns, and quantities of cash, cocaine, ecstasy, hashish, magic mushrooms and prescription drugs.
"This investigation reinforces the clear links between marihuana, ecstasy, and cocaine to illegal firearms and stolen property when organized criminal groups engaged in drug trafficking search for profits", says Superintendent Brian Cantera, Officer in Charge of the RCMP Drug Enforcement Branch in BC. "More concerning is the complete disregard these groups show for Canadian families and public safety, both of which pay the devastating price exacted for criminal profits."
Dave Edwardsen has been charged with 11 drug trafficking and firearm related offences. He appeared in court on September 20, 2012 and was remanded in custody until his next appearance on October 5 for a bail hearing. Additional charges are expected to be laid in the near future.
"Federal Drug Enforcement investigators and members of the Terrace Detachment have done a tremendous service for this community", says RCMP Inspector Dana Hart, the Officer in Charge of the Terrace RCMP Detachment. "This decisive enforcement action has not only removed drugs from our streets, it has secured 110 long guns which represented a real and direct threat to the safety of our families.

“Dave’s not here, man”.
Remanded in custody. How often do you read that eh.
110 long guns which represented a real and direct threat to the safety of our families.
HUH?????
110 Long Guns? Are you serious? This number of firearms in a country where they have taken our guns away from us must be extremely obvious and suspicious to anyone and everyone. How can this be?
Lock him up! No damn bail hearing. What the H–l is wrong with everyone? He is a danger to the security of our country with these many guns. Damn, I don’t think I can put together this amount of firearms in a week of contacting everyone I know in PG.
