Prince George, B.C. – The BCGEU and the Province of B.C. have reached a tentative agreement.
Under the proposed pact, the 2 year deal gives the 26 thousand members a modest wage increase and as part of the package, the Negotiated Request for Proposal process for the privatization of liquor distribution was cancelled.
The funding for the wage increases is said to have been found within existing budgets.
Further details about each agreement will be available following the ratification process by the respective members.

Why are we just doing 2 year deals? Honestly, why not do a 5 or 10 year deal? Do we really want labour problems every 2 years?
4 per cent over two years?? Holy Cow!
The NDP must be mad as hell, they would never allow that!
