September Warm and Dry

Prince George, B.C.- September was warm and dry, but no records set for Prince George.
In his monthly summary, Environment Canada meteorologist Jim Steele says the daytime temperatures were well above normal and in the end, the mean monthly temperatures came in about 1 ½ degrees above the norm.
Here is the balance of his report:
On the precipitation side of things, it was a dry month with the exception of the last couple of days. Still, the monthly precipitation came in just under half the normal for September.
Into the record books, September 2012 will show a dry and mild month.

- Average daily low of 3.0 was below the normal of 3.8 degrees C.
- Mean temperature of 11.4 was above the normal 10.1 degrees C.
- Warmest Day on the 8th with a maximum temperature of 26.1 degrees
- Coolest day on the 16th with an overnight minimum of -2.8 degrees

- Total precipitation of 22.4 mm was 42% of the normal of 52.5 mm.
- Total Rainfall of 22.4 mm was 43% of the normal of 51.9 mm
- Total Snowfall of 0.0 cm was 00 % of the normal of 0.6 cm
- Measurable precipitation on 8 days below the normal of 13 days
- Greatest rainfall one day 7.7 mm on the 30th
