Terrace- Two women were taken hospital in Terrace after the vehicle they were riding in left highway 113 near Lava Lake about 80 kilometres north of Terrace yesterday afternoon at 1.40pm.
The vehicle came to rest after striking several large boulders just a few feet away from a steep drop off.
The 54 year old driver and her 44 year old passenger suffered serious, but non life threatening injuries.
The driver was taken to hospital in Terrace but later flown to Vancouver by air ambulance.
A road collision analyst is investigating, but alcohol is not believed to have been a factor.

Anyone else find it objectionable to have to look at that bloody car colliding with the telephone pole every time you open up a story on O250? I find it in very bad taste to have to see it yet again in a story abut two women seriously hurt when their car leaves the road. Common’, Ben, take it down already!
Well considering it’s swiped content from “youtube” and I bet there is no letter of authority from the copyright holder to use it, it is in bad taste.
