Victim Of Chip Truck Accident Identified

Prince George- The coroner’s service has now identified the man who was killed on Monday when he was struck by a chip truck at the intersection of 15th and 97.
He is 68 year old Miklas Bognar, of Prince George.
The accident occurred yesterday just after 10 am., When Mr Bognar collided with a southbound tractor trailer unit. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The BC Corners service and the RCMP continue to investigate the accident.
The BC Corners Service asks that the family privacy is respected.

My heartfelt sympathies to Mr. Bognar’s family.
I was at the intersection shortly after the accident, not realizing what had happened, and I am still having a hard time coming to terms with what I saw.
Many of the surrounding motorists were in the same state of shock as I was, witnessing such a horrific scene.
Rest in peace Mr.Bognar.
My thoughts are with all of those affected by this tragedy.

To the truck driver, so sorry this happened to you too. Get the help that is offered. Don’t go through three+ years of PTSD and depression like I have.
