Move Over Harvest Moon…

Friday, October 19, 2012 @ 8:26 PM

Prince George, BC –  It seems there’s nothing quite as spectacular at this time of year as a harvest moon…

That is, unless you caught tonight’s ‘pumpkin’ sunset.

250 News’ photographer captured the orange hues warming the evening sky after today’s drizzle and we wanted to share its warmth.  According to Environment Canada’s forecast, you may want to soak up those rays for all their worth.  It appears a change in season could hit this weekend.

Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for mainly cloudy skies with a 60-percent chance of flurries and a high of just 2 degrees.  The skies will clear by evening for a cold overnight low of minus 8 degrees.

On Sunday, we’ll see a mix of sun and cloud with the high forecast to remain below zero at minus 1!

But at least clear skies tomorrow night means it should be a good clear view of the Orionids Meteor Shower! Just have to dress a bit warmer to watch the show!

THAT is a spectacular picture!!
