Spruce Kings Win In OT

Friday, October 19, 2012 @ 10:36 PM

Prince George, BC – Proving they’re no worse for the wear following last night’s bus mishap, the Prince George Spruce Kings came back to beat the Langley Rivermen 5-4 in overtime.

Coltyn Hanson scored his second of the game for the Kings at 16:04 of the third period to force the extra session.  Mitch Eden sent in the game winner at 1:36 of OT.  Justin Rai also had a big night for the team with two goals and an assist.

A stellar performance made even better by the fact that no one was hurt when the team bus hit a soft shoulder and slid into the ditch on the Fraser highway on the way to Langley last night.

The Spruce Kings sit tied for first place in the Mainland Division with Chilliwack at 18 points.  The team plays in Coquitlam tomorrow night.
