Prince George, B.C. – Three young girls now have a special bond. Today, the trio had their long locks cut off to make wigs for cancer patients, and as a fund raiser for the Cops for Cancer Tour de North.
The three , aged 6-11, have been touched by cancer, either through their own family or through friends. The three have another bond as each girl’s mother is a 9-1-1 dispatcher .
Final words before the big cut? “Bye-bye Hair” was all eleven year old Hannah Jones had to say. Then it was one, two, three, and the scissors did the rest of the speaking.
The three raised nearly $4,000 for Cops for Cancer.
Below, the girls show off their pony tails, which will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society’s wig program

GREAT story. Lots of good kids out there – rarely in the news unfortunately. Kudos to these girls, and $4,000 is a fantastic amount to have raised!
Good for them. I agree there are a lot of good kids (and people) out there however we dont see or hear too much about them.
