British Columbians Doing Allright in Maxmillion Draws

Sunday, October 28, 2012 @ 8:00 AM
Prince George, B.C. – Five tickets sold in B.C. were among the total of 24 MAXMILLION prizes won across the country in Friday’s  LOTTO MAX draw. There was no winner for the big LOTTO MAX jackpot, so players will have another chance at $50 million next week.

Tickets sold in Fort St. John and Aldergrove won a MAXMILLION prize of $1 million each while tickets sold in Kamloops and the Kootenays each split a MAXMILLION. A fifth winning ticket, sold in the Kootenays, is worth $333,333, with the MAXMILLION being split three ways.

This is the fourth week in a row that a winning MAXMILLION ticket was sold in B.C. Next Friday’s jackpot will be $50 million plus 50 MAXMILLIONS – the third time in Canadian lottery history that this amount has been offered.

To the lottery ticket buyers, keep on paying that voluntary tax!

I have a friend who paid that voluntary tax and the government gave him $2.5 million tax dollars to enjoy the rest of his life.

And for some reason he doesn’t hate “this tax”…!

Sure it’s a waste of money for most people, neither me or anyone I know will ever win even 2.5 million (lucky friend of newtechie). But I keep it so that I only buy when the jackpot hits the 50 million, that way there are those extra max-millions. Also keeps me from overspending on the “tax” too.

For every winner, there are millions of losers.

Taxation by stupidity. (I din’t win either). RATS!!

Well…you can’t win if you don’t have a ticket…

I tend to play only when the jackpot is quite large. Most of the time I give it a pass…..

I`m happy for the winners and maybe some day I`ll stop being a loser.

Don’t drink or smoke so a little ticket now and then is okay with me!
