Enbridge Hearings Resume This Morning in P.G.

Monday, October 29, 2012 @ 3:59 AM
Prince George, B.C. – The Joint Review Panel hearings resume in Prince George this morning.

There is a new venue for this round, as the hearings on the proposed Enbridge twin pipeline  will take place at the Ramada Hotel on George Street and they are scheduled to start at 8:30 this morning and go until 3:30 in the afternoon.

On Saturday, the Hearings will start at 8:30 and wrap up at 12:30.

The session will start this morning with questions being posed by three groups who did not have a chance to complete their questions before the expert panel during the last session.

The three   are:
• Fort St. James Sustainability Group,
• Nathan Cullen,
• Haisla Nation.

Once the three groups have completed their questioning, the 3rd expert panel will be sworn in and the focus will shift to that panel’s area of expertise, namely the environmental and socio economic impacts of the twin pipeline project.

Comments

They say the pipeline will be underground. In Alaska for seismic reasons they have them suspended on a rail. I would think an underground pipeline would be far more susceptible to stress in an earthquake scenario.
