Prince George, B.C.- The Joint Review Panel has made some changes to its hearing schedule.
Sitting in Prince George this week and next, the JRP was to move the hearings to Prince Rupert November 22nd.
That has now been changed, with the hearings continuing in Prince George from November 22-29th at the Columbus Centre instead of sitting Prince Rupert. The Prince Rupert session has been changed to start on December 10th.
The Panel says the change is “in keeping with an effective and efficient joint review panel process, the questioning on the issues designated for Prince George will be completed before questioning begins in Prince Rupert on the third and final set of issues”.
Some other schedule changes have also been announced;
· There will be no hearing session in Prince George on Saturday, 24 November 2012
- There will be an additional evening session in Prince George on Thursday, 29 November 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- There will be no hearing session in Prince George on Friday, 30 November 2012
The Panel expects to complete the Prince George portion of the questioning phase on 29 November 2012. In order to maximize the time available to complete the hearing in Prince George, there will also be an additional evening session on Friday, 9 November 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Is this another tactic to keep people important to questioning them off guard or off schedule with the other timetables they may have? Just wondering. Almost seems like it.
Sorry, but I have a little bit of doubt as to their stated agenda.
It will be a majority government, unless you see some other party other than the Liberals or NDP entering the picture in the next few months and winning some seats.
Its a feel good process. nothing what we say or do is going to change a darn thing. The deal has already been made in Ottawa, they are just trying to find a way to make it a bit more palatable.
Its going to be a two year coalition government where nothing gets done and its back to the polls. Hopefully by then we get a better menu selection.
These hearings are known as “due dillegence” and they may influence the feds or to whom it may concern either way.
This is the intelligent process we use in developed countrie’s to get all the information and assess the risk reward whether you are for or againt the project.
It matters little if we are for or against the Gateway project when our leaders are committing treason in broad day light. By treason I mean look at the facts… and I’m not talking about the secret agenda to implement the HST or sell BC Rail, I’m talking about selling out the sovereignty of our democracy to determine our own laws and regulations.
Harper introduces an omnibus bill at budget time that strips most of the environmental regulations that would govern this project and makes it retroactive for the Gateway Pipeline.
Harper then signs a foreign investment treaty with China that allows Chinese sovereign wealth funds and state enterprises to sue the BC government if BC introduces any legislation that would stall or stop the Gateway pipeline… with the federal environmental regulation retroactively removed it gives the green light for Chinese state sponsored claims of damages for any future policy decisions.
Christy Clark sits on the fence and opts out of BC holding its own environmental review and essentially gives the China-Canada foreign investment treaty file over to Pat Bell who rubber stamps it with BC’s approval so as to limit provincial regulations into anything involving Chinese state enterprises and thereby putting BC on the hook for billions if the ndp get elected and carry out the wish of the electorate in canceling the Gateway pipeline project. It makes the sale of the fast ferries fiasco of partisan spite look small time.
Treason and traitors to their constituents IMO.
