Natural Resource Stakeholders Band Together

Thursday, November 1, 2012 @ 10:07 AM

Prince George, BC – "It just makes a lot of sense to be in the same place"…

So says the Executive Director of the Central Interior Logging Association, MaryAnne Arcand, in announcing the establishment of a Natural Resource Agency Cluster – a group of regional organizations representing natural resource industry interests – all under one roof.

The group includes: CILA and the Carbon Offest Aggregation Cooperative as the anchor tenants, along with the Council of Forest Industries, Resources North, the BC Forest Safety Council, Forrex, and Malfair Law.

"There is so much synergy between our organizations," says Arcand.  "Many of our stakeholders and members are the same, and we each represent a bit of a different aspect of the same interests."

Arcand says it just makes a lot of sense to be in the same place to collaborate, combine administrative and infrastructure costs, and enjoy efficiencies.

The new group is holding an open house at their new space at 2666 Queensway between 1pm and 4pm tomorrow.
