Prince George, BC – While Westjet won’t tip its hand and say whether the flight is a sell-out, there will be a plane-load of residents leaving the snow behind and baring their feet on the hot, sandy beaches of Puerto Vallarta by this afternoon.

For the fourth season, direct non-stop service from Prince George to the sunny Mexican city begins with the first flight out of YXS at 10:45am this morning. Westjet’s Manager of Public Relations, Robert Palmer, will say the service continues to be a popular with residents from across the region.  The weekly flight will continue until next April 27th.

"We are thrilled to see the snow to sand service continue out of YXS this season," says Prince George Airport Authority President and CEO, John Gibson.  "Winter came in with a bang this year and those travellers looking for sun can do so quickly as of this weekend."

This morning’s passengers will hit the heat waves in just over five hours.

Was there any reason to think it would not be contined this year???

I’d rather go to Hawaii!

I’s rather go to Hawaii too!

Then go. Enjoy the rain.

That’s great! Adding in a trip to Vancouver, either by air or car adds a lot of money on to your trip. I am hopeful for a non stop flight to CA pops up
:-)

A non stop flight to Bellingham would be the real serious money saver. That would give one more choice.
