One Confirmed Dead in Highway 16 Crash

Prince George, B.C. – RCMP have confirmed that at least one person has died in a four vehicle crash on Highway 16 at Beaumont Park near Ft. Fraser. The Highway is closed, and will remain closed for an unknown period.
Police say the crash involved two commercial vehicles and two passenger vehicles. Some of the vehicle occupants have yet to be extricated from their vehicles, others have been taken from the scene and are enroute to hospital. One person has been confirmed deceased at the scene. RCMP Have not yet said how many people were involved in this crash.
Fraser Lake RCMP are working with the Vanderhoof unit of the Prince George Regional Provincial Traffic Services and BC Ambulance Services in attempting to deal with all the injured. The Ministry of Highways has been notified and will determine if a detour is or
will be available to the public.

A friend in Nadleh says that the accident was at Piper’s Glen and that traffic is detoured through the reserve.
Its been a bad year for deadly accidents in this region so far!
