Prince George, B.C. – There are a few ways to tell we’re getting closer to the Christmas season.
Kids are starting to draw parents’ attention to ads for things that would certainly look great beneath the tree. Parking lots at shopping centres are jam-packed with the vehicles of people who are trying to get some ideas of what they might get for sons and daughters, spouses and grandkids. And the craft fairs are in full swing from one end of the city to the other each and every weekend.
One of the more popular fairs is the DP Todd Annual Holiday Craft Fair, hosted by the DP Todd band program. It covers the entire gymnasium floor plus the mezzanine of the school. The fair features over 100 tables of handcrafted items by talented local crafters.
There is everything from ceramics to wood carvings, jewelry to baked goods, some delicious homemade fudge to a wide assortment of blankets, comforters and clothing. As well the concession booths out in the foyer are open with many different types of appetizing goodies to snack on.
The DP Todd craft fair will be open from 10 till 4 today.
If you show up maybe you’ll be able to put a smile on Don’s (that’s Don at the top of the article) face.
