Prince George, BC – After an exhaustive port-mortem investigation, the BC Coroners Service is confirming a body found floating off Lasqueti Island in the Georgia Strait earlier this month was 61-year-old Prince George Businessman, Kelly Nordin.

Coroner, Barb McLintock, says the body of Nordin was found by two people sailing near the southern tip of the island on November 1st.  McLintock says an investigation involving the Coroners Service Identification and Disaster Response Unit, with assistance from the Oceanside RCMP and the West Vancouver Police Department has ruled out foul play in the case.

She says the local man was last known to be alive on October 24 and is believed to have gone into the water in the area of West Vancouver.

Shock rippled through the Prince George business community last week, as word of the populer Keg franchisee’s death became public.  After two years of renovations, the revitalized restaurant re-opened late last March.
