Sisters, Tyra and Kacie Dauvin, and their dog, Jasmine, lead the runway at the CNC Doggie Fashion Show
Prince George, BC – Participants in the 9th Annual CNC Doggie Fashion Show put their best paws forward in an effort to benefit the local SPCA…
The atrium at the College of New Caledonia was packed with ‘fashion hounds’ of all ages, who applauded appreciatively for the canine models and their fashionista friends.
It was the first time down the catwalk, er dogwalk, for Pancho the Boston Terrior, and 10-year-old Arianna Bonafine – both were dressed in bellydancing attire, complete with ‘hip’ scarves and coins. Pancho seemed fine, but Arianna says she was a little nervous before the big walk.
Also nervous was three-year-old little frog, Meghan Peebles, who was, at first, hesitant to hop down the runway with her five-year-old sister, Sarah, and dog, Abby.
But Meghan quickly ‘got into character’ and then there was no stopping the tiny leaper on her second pass over the runway.
All proceeds from the event benefit the local SPCA.
"We’ve raised more than $9,000 and pallets of food and supplies for the SPCA (over the past nine years)," says Show Coordinator, Barb Old. "It’s an event everyone looks forward to."
