Prince George, B.C.- No further job action is expected at the College of New Caledonia, now that there is a tentative monetary agreement between the college’s operational union and the provincial government.
Exams and classes will continue on schedule says CNC’s Director of Communications Randall Heidt.
The College of New Caledonia is hopeful that collective bargaining talks at the local table with CUPE Local 4951 will also be successful in the coming weeks. “We are trying to schedule local meetings the week of December 17,” said Randall Heidt, CNC director of communications and development. “There were exhaustive efforts on both sides during a very long weekend and CNC would like to thank everyone who made this deal happen.”
Details of the agreement will not be disclosed until after union leaders have had a chance to recommend the package to their members.
