Prince George Man Suffers Serious Injury After Being Hit By Truck Mirror

Terrace- A 20 year old Prince George man has been flown to Vancouver from Terrace after he was struck by the mirror of a passing pickup truck while attending a funeral in Terrace.
The unidentified man was struck by the mirror of the truck operated by a 30 year old man who was sober and cooperative with police.
The victim was first taken to Terrace hospital where he regained consciousness and was reportedly able to walk around. His condition then became worse due to a possible brain injury and he was flown to Vancouver for specialized treatment.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are seeking any witnesses to contact them at 250-638-7400.

I hate to admit this but this has happened to myself and I`v been on both ends,hit by a mirror and smacked some one else with mine.
And it really hurts,truck mirrors have no give what so ever and if it does move than your probably knocked the ef out.
I feel for the dude.
Mirrors should be collapsible. My new car has collapsible side mirrors. Most certainly the extended mirror added to vehicles that tow trailers should be collapsible.
Mirrors on my truck are collapsable as well as extendable. And they collapse while extended.
they collapse really fast when they come in contACT with someones head.
Poor guy. I hope he recovers.
Why mention the driver was sober? Don’t the vast majority of accidents involve sober people?
