Cariboo Cougars Christmas Alumni Game Set for Sunday
Prince George, B.C. — The Cariboo Cougars are set to host a Christmas tradition with the team’s annual alumni game set for Sunday at CN Centre.
This year’s team will faceoff against ex-Cats from the past nine seasons, both players and coaches.
The likes of Prince George Cougars captain Dan Gibb, Kamloops Blazer defenceman Josh Connolly, Seattle Thunderbirds forward Mitch Elliot, and many others will be back in Cariboo Cougar colours once again.
The Cougars are the only team in the BC Major Midget League to hold such an event.
"It’s a credit to the tradition we have here in the North," said head coach Trevor Sprague.
"We are proud of our alumni and enjoy celebrating their successes as they move onto junior hockey and professional careers whether it’s in hockey or otherwise. Our alumni know they always have a place here to call home and it’s great to see them come back year after year to have a bit of fun and see some old faces," added Sprague.
This year’s game begins at 2:30pm at CN Centre on Sunday, December 23rd, admission is free.
