Wednesday, December 19, 2012 @ 4:59 PM
Prince George, B.C.- A Prince George man is in custody and faces several charges related to a recent home invasion.

Just after 10:00 pm on December 10th, Prince George RCMP responded to a rural residence off Chief Lake Road, just outside Prince George city limits, for a report of a home invasion robbery.

Officers learned three men had forcibly entered the residence and bear sprayed all three adult occupants of the house, including a quadriplegic man. The 51 year old man had no way to defend himself, or escape the bear spray. The suspects took his wallet and fled in a vehicle.

The home was equipped with video surveillance, which was seized by police. Through extensive investigation by the Prince George RCMP’s Crime Reduction Team and Downtown Enforcement Unit, one of the three suspects has been identified by police.

That suspect was arrested during a vehicle stop near the intersection of 11th Avenue and Winnipeg Street in Prince George.

26 year old Joel Milton Clark is now charged with the following:

·       Robbery
·       Assault with a Weapon (3 counts)
·       Break & Enter
·       Mischief Under $5000
·       Theft Under $5000
His next court appearance is scheduled for January 16th.

The investigation is continuing.
