Blackwater Gold Project Will Undergo Environmental Assessment

Thursday, December 27, 2012 @ 3:59 AM
Prince George, B.C.- The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency has determined that a federal environmental assessment is required for the proposed Blackwater Gold Project.

The proposed open pit gold and silver mine, would be located about 100 km south of Vanderhoof.

The Environmental Assessment Agency is now inviting the public to comment on which aspects of the environment may be affected by this project and what should be examined during the environmental assessment.

As proposed, the project would produce 60,000 tonnes per day of gold and silver ore, over a mine life of 17 years.

Comments

Produce 60,000 tonnes of gold and silver per day over a 17 year life. That certainly is the world’s richest mine.

Maybe should read, process 60,000 tonnes of ore per day.

I would call that a typo or a hyperbole.
