Quesnel, B.C.- The City of Quesnel is going to explore the possibility of having a Community Forest.
One of the prime goals of the Community forest would be to provide a new source of revenue to the City of Quesnel.
A select committee has been established to investigate the feasibility of a Community Forest and will present its final report to Quesnel Council before March 31st of 2013.
That report will outline the economic feasibility, the best governance and operating model and a recommendation for Council to either approve or deny moving forward with the idea.

and the Council in Quesnel came up with this potential revenue generating idea without spending $350 thousand on a core review. Wow they are smart.
Ironically the crew at the City here which spent most of 2012 saying we are about to go over the fiscal cliff, is apparently giving up their Community Forest. Amazing the difference 120 kilometers can make.
