Sad but all too predictable. I was working in the bush there before xmas and roads were poorly maintained and very busy. I was run off the road twice by loads in 2 weeks despite following radio protocols, but I’ll gladly take the ditch anytime compared to a logging truck. At the time I said someone’s gonna get killed here soon, sad it has come true. Part of the problem I saw, besides a crazy amount of loads, is contractors shifted over from Burns lake and other areas unfamiliar with roads and using channels not normally used in mackenzie. I hope WCB and MOF will look closely at, but wouldn’t hold my breath. And another disaster waiting to happen is from 18km-to windy point on the finlay is now 2 way hauling- I thought an inquest out west a couple years ago found this practice to be a disaster waiting to happen.Condolences to the family.
