Going to, or watching an NHL game isn’t mandatory. If people are upset with the situation the power is in their own hands by not buying a ticket to a game, or merchandise for their favourite team. People cannot complain about how they’ve been treated by this league and then throw their money at the league when the season starts.

I was watching too much hockey, so it was a nice break and a quick short season should be great for a change. 82 games is way too long anyways.
I think with the short season the interest will be higher than it would have been otherwise… people just aren’t ready to admit it yet.
