Fatal Crash Victim from Penticton
Prince George, B.C.- RCMP confirm that the man who died in a crash on the Finlay Forest Service road yesterday, was from Penticton.
The crash between his pick up truck and a logging truck happened just before 1 yesterday afternoon at the 93 kilometer marker of the Finlay Forest Service Road. The 43 year old from Penticton was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the man had been working in the Fort Ware region.
Mackenzie RCMP and the North District Traffic Analyst continue to investigate but preliminary information suggests the vehicles met on a narrow, single lane, bridge and the pick-up truck collided with a concrete post then hit the trailer of the logging truck causing significant damage to the passenger compartment of his pick-up. Damage to the logging truck was minimal.
Investigators advise there is nothing to suggest the incident is a Criminal matter.
