Fjellstrom Leaves Spruce Kings

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings  have added a new  forward to their roster,  following word Tanner Fjellstrom is  leaving the team.
 
Fjellstrom has decided to leave in order to focus on his  post-secondary education.
 
“I would like to thank Tanner for his contributions to our team this season and wish him all the best in his future endeavours" said Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes. 
 
The Prince George Spruce Kings have added forward David Stephens to the roster. Stephens is a 93 born, 5’ 10” 190 lbs forward from Whitehorse, Yukon. Stephens is familiar to Prince George having played with the Cariboo Cougars during the 2008-10 seasons and has also played major junior with the Edmonton Oil Kings and most recently the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
 
"David Stephens is a very good player who will be able to contribute at both ends of the ice,” said Hawes. “He is very familiar with Prince George having played with the Cariboo Cougars and will be a very nice addition to our lineup, improving our overall depth up front."
David Stephens is expected to play with the Spruce Kings this weekend when the team travels to Chilliwack and Coquitlam.
