CUPE Votes In Favour Of New Contract At CNC

Prince George- CUPE local 4951 have voted 90% in favour of a new collective agreement with the College of New Caledonia. The vote came Wednesday night.
The agreement will now go before the CNC board of Governors meeting on January 25th for ratification, then back to the Post Secondary Employers Association for final approval.
Randall Heidt, CNC Director of Communications and Development says," we are happy that such a large percentage voted in favour of the contract".
Lily Bachand President of local 4951 said credit must be given to the membership.
Local 4951 is made up of 325 operational staff at campuses in Prince George, Quesnel, Fort St James, Burns Lake, Vanderhoof and Mackenzie.
