Wednesday, January 30, 2013 @ 3:56 AM

Prince George, B.C.- Today, Katrina  Framst will graduate from the Career Training Centre (CTC) electronics program at CNC and will be one step closer to reaching her goal .

She wants to be an electrician.

The PGSS student created a binary 24 hour clock and enclosed it with Lego. It was a project that helped her to graduate from the CTC program.

Katrina  will now returns to PGSS  to wrap up her final semester of high school.

The CTC program works in conjunction with School District 57.

CTC students receive their first year of technical training in their chosen trade and high school credit for being at College. They are able to graduate at their home high school with friends and  they receive their college credentials at the same time. It means some students will be ready for an apprenticeship directly out of high school.

Congrats to everyone graduating today! Big accomplishment and I hope you are on your way to more.

yes congrats – I know one kid that graduated last year and one that is graduating today. Unfortunately they both basically used this to avoid regular highschool. They may be ready for an apprenticeship but I know one of them is asking “would you like fries with that”…

Congrats though and hopefully there are some more motivated kids in the group

You can lead the horse to water but you can’t make him drink!
