Report Released Into Child Tasered

Prince George, BC – BC’s Representative for Children and Youth is releasing her report into the 2011 tasering of an 11-year-old Aboriginal boy in Prince George.
A news conference with Representative Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond is just getting underway in Victoria this hour. The entire report will be available on the RCY’s website shortly.
Turpel-Lafond’s investigation focused on the child’s entire life, rather than viewing the tasering and the incidents that led up to it, in isolation.
The boy was in the care of the Ministry of Children and Families at the time of the tasering and remains in ministry care at present.
