I am thankfull that no member of the force was injured and an arrest was accomplished without injury. The RCMP deserves recognition for a job well done. However there is still a great need for more transparency in the force and accountability where a private civilian body is reqired to investigate various incidents including aleged sexual abuse of their own members. Otherwise a private police force would be required.
Yo, Valemount, WELL DONE!
Glad yer all safe.
BCCLA can suck it up. They’re probably still chasing niquabs in Keebec.
BCCLA = lawyers who couldn’t find a job…..
The officer who fired the shot needs to go back to the firing range to hone his skills.
IIO decides if they want to take over the investigation. To date hey have received hundreds of calls from police, as per the reporting requirements and have only taken over a handful.
ifastm3 do you have any handgun experience? I think not by your comment. Using a hand gun in a real high stress situation is a lot different than a Hollywood cop show.
One is lucky to hit your target that is more than 7 feet away in a fast reacting situation.
