Two New Members Join Northern Health Board

Sunday, February 24, 2013 @ 3:53 AM

Prince George, BC – Two new regional representatives have been appointed to serve on Northern Health’s Board of Directors…

Maurice Squires is from the Nass Valley, where he is a program director with the Nisga’a Lisims Government and Vice-President of the Aboriginal Care Society.  Ben Sander lives in Dawson Creek where he is a Senior Partner of Sander Rose Bone Grindle LLP Chartered Accountants and is involved in sports as both a director and coach.

In introducing the newest members at this past week’s meeting, NH Board Chair, Dr. Charles Jago, said, "Maurice and Ben are two exceptional leaders in their communities and the province and will be a tremendous asset to Northern Health."

He said their addition to the board ensures that health care within the authority remains "led by northerners, for northerners".

This week there has been more stories about Dr Charles Jago in Northern Health than Shirley Bond herself.

Charles Jago in Prince George is now more like the dark Vader char. of the Star wars.

“I’m a member of the Imperial Senate on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan.” [Star Wars]

I wonder what it costs taxpayers to have board members from such far flung locations attend meetings and functions in central locations…….
