Monday, February 25, 2013 @ 1:19 PM
Prince George, B.C.- The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit for B.C. has made an arrest in the August 2011 murder of gangster Jonathon Bacon.

Bacon was one of 5 people in a white Porsche Cayenne that was  riddled with bullets in a brazen attack .

Bacon died in the gunfire, his four associates seriously wounded, and one, Lia Watts, was left a paraplegic.

“The Bacon shooting was the beginning of a cascade of violence” says  CFSEU Chief Superintendent Dan Malo.

Last Friday, 100 police officers from a variety of law enforcement agencies, executed 6 search warrants simultaneously. As a result, three men are now charged with the murder of Jonathon Bacon, and the attempted murder of his four associates:

Charged are:
  • Jujhur Khun-khun of Surrey
  • Michael Kerry Hunter Jones – of Gibsons
  • Jason Thomas McBride –formerly of North Vancouver, but arrested in Toronto.
Investigators say all three men had been involved in a number of gangs.

All three were arrested without incident.
RCMP Assistant Commissioner Wayne Rideout says  although three arrests have been made,  he suspects this is not the end to  gang violence,  "It isn’t over."
