Mike Morris Gets the Nod

Thursday, February 28, 2013 @ 5:15 PM

Prince George, B.C.- It’s official, former RCMP Superintendent Mike Morris  is the Liberal candidate for the Prince George -Mackenzie riding.

He  won the nomination through acclamation.

The nomination period closed at 4:30 this afternoon.

Morris says he sees the economy  as being the key issue in the upcoming election  "and which Party  has a better plan to keep B.C. on stable ground."

The  riding was seeking a new Liberal candidate in the wake of  MLA Pat Bell’s decision to  step down because of health reasons. “Pat’s shoes will be hard to fill, but I’m confident that I have the leadership abilities to be a strong representative for Prince George-Mackenzie,” says Morris.

Mike Morris will be formally nominated  on March 8th and 9th at  meetings in Mackenzie and Prince George.

He will be up against NDP candidate Bobby Deepak.  The B.C. Conservatives have yet to name  a candidate in the riding.

As I told you earlier today, Congrats, and go get ’em bud, you’ll do good!

So. He won the nomination by acclamation,. I wonder how many people were at the nomination meeting.

Seems no one except Morris wanted to get on this sinking ship.

Hope he’s got a can of that flex-seal ….

Every day the more news of underhanded deals and plans using our tax dollers so they investigate, great. Morris maybe a great guy but thats about the it,

Didn’t anyone tell Mr. Morris where the Liebs’ are going? I hope Mr. Morris doesn’t mind tyhe smell of po-po.

I see the Libs had another leaked e-mail scandal today, no wonder they only want to sit in the Legislature a few days a year.

Mr. Morris…. don’t give up your day job.

“Pat Bell’s decision to step down because of health reasons” .. ya, the health of the liberal party is terminal? Another rat leaves this sinking ship.

So much for the dark side; congratulations Mike!
You represent a group of men and women who are prepared to step forward and be counted. With plans to the future and proud of the past, along with its blemishes.
I for one will continue to support the Liberal party as I don`t see any alternatives that match my values.
By values I mean people who can talk the talk and walk the walk. So far I hear no talking, ideas, from anyone who claims to be an NDP rep…sounds to me like they are all in kindergarten waiting to be let out for a recess!

Perhaps Morris will be a useful addition to the Opposition after the May election.

“But”…Your comment is shameful.

Hopefully this former cop grasps the whole “ethics” thing a little better than Mr. Coleman.

You know, I had to look hard at the decision making process of our political leaders last election to decide who I was gonna vote for.
Doing that again.
Adrian Dix had to find someone to run in Nechako Lakes, so he picked a candidate that he, as a person who lives in the lower mainland, thought would be good for Nechako Lakes country, you know, the bible belt out west. Perhaps he hasn’t spent any time in Burns Lake, Fraser Lake or Vanderhoof. In consideration of his decision, I won’t laugh too long, or hard, but I think his decision making process is a little bit out there, yuh know? Think I’ll stick with the Liberals, think John’s a little more in touch with what’s go’in on, yuh know. It’s just my humble opinion, don’t count for much, except on election day.
Mike’s got a lot of integrity, might wanna have a chat with him, might open some eyes to what integrity is all about……
