Party Celebrates Final Regular Season Game For Kings

Saturday, March 9, 2013 @ 3:50 AM

Prince George, BC – Fans of the Prince George Spruce Kings are being invited to a tailgate party to build momentum as the team wraps up the regular season tonight and prepares round one of the play-offs…

The Spruce Kings host Salmon Arm in a game that starts at 7pm at the Coliseum, but festivities begin at 5pm with a burger dinner, games and prizes.  A minimum $5 donation gets you a burger, salad and drink, with the proceeds going to the local Girl Guides.

The Kings sit in third place in the Mainland Division with 59-points heading into tonight’s game.  They’ll face second place Chilliwack in the opening round of the play-offs, which begins on the road for the home team next Friday night.  Game three of the best-of-five will be in Prince George on Monday, March 18th.

The Salmon Arm SilverBacks just secured a playoff berth with last night’s 5-4 OT win over Merritt.
