Elections BC Readying For Spring Campaign
Prince George, BC – Preparations for the spring election are ramping up…
An enumeration is underway at Elections BC, as it updates the provincial voters list for May’s general election.
Chief Electoral Officer, Keith Archer, says, "We’re asking eligible voters to register and those already on the list to ensure their voter registration is up-to-date."
More than 1.9-million notices have started arriving in mailboxes around the province, asking eligible residents to register or update their information. And, as of the middle of this week, Election BC officials started setting up registration sites in area ridings.
Today, residents living in the Prince George-Mackenzie riding can sign up or ensure their information is current at a registration site in the Alexander Mackenzie Mall in Mackenzie and at the Gurdwara Gurogobind Singh Temple on Kelly Street in Prince George. Similar opportunities are available in the Nechako Lakes riding today, at the Vanderhoof Co-op and Petro Can in Fort St. James. In Prince George-Valemount, a registration table will be set up in Walmart from Monday through to Wednesday.
As well, door-to-door canvassing is planned in all three ridings. More information on specific voter registration opportunities is available at www.elections.bc.ca/registration-opportunities/
Meantime, more than 37-thousand election workers will be needed during the general election. Job postings can be viewed at www.elections.bc.ca/jobs.

Local riding’s are wide open for an insurgency candidate running as an independent. No good local options. Either old liberal insiders or parachute candidates on the ballot so far.
maybe true for the libs but both NDP are local people, let the games begin. Most important they vote not stay home and bitch later
