Prince George, B.C.- It was a failed insulator at Westwood and Ferry in Prince George, that resulted in 8900 hundred customers losing their power between 9:30 last night and 4 this morning.
BC Hydro’s Bob Gammer says the outage impacted the area north of the Nechako River. A further outage impacted 5,000 customers from 1:20 to 3:30 this morning after BC Hydro power crews were forced to close a section in order to repair the failed insulator.
In all, about 14 thousand customers in Prince George were impacted during the incident.

Couldn’t be a Chinese manufactured insulator, could it?
I was blaming the Liberals.
that’s ok Axman, so you should blame the Liberals … at least of half of the posters here will either blame the unionized labour that put the insulator in or that the insulator was old enough to have been installed during the last NDP gov’t time in power ;)
Blame Harper?
It wasn’t the Chinese hacking our smart meters? Well, that’s a disappointment.
With Hydro being in debt to the tune of 13 Billion I doubt if they have any money to make repairs.

Palopu where are you getting your figures from? I can’t find any information that says Hydro is 13 billion in debt. Surely you wouldn’t post that without something to back it up?
