Wednesday, March 13, 2013 @ 5:38 PM
Prince George, B.C.- It is hard to beleive  spring is officially  just a week away, as a snowfall warning remains in effect for Prince George and communities east to the Alberta border,  and west to the area called the inland coastal region.

Prince George is predicted to receive another 15-25 centimetres ( about 6-10 inches) of snow by Thursday night. (red area on map at right highlights  regions under snowfall warning. – map courtesy Environment Canada)
Another moist Pacific frontal system will move in from the coast tonight and combine with a stationary Arctic front to produce a swath of heavy snow across the Central B.C. interior and the Southern B.C. Peace. Further snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm are forecast by late Thursday evening with the highest snowfall accumulations expected in the higher elevations of the McGregor region and over the eastern slopes of the Rockies.

Chetwynd in the Southern BC Peace has received about 15 cm of snow since the storm began Tuesday morning. Communities even closer to the Rockies such as Tumbler Ridge will likely receive in excess of 30 cm total snowfall by the time the storm ends Thursday night.

What do they mean by “another”? When was the last time we received that much snow? Must have been over a month ago.

Winter sucks.

Looks like the carbon tax is at least slowing global warming down. Keep taxing me!

Tell me more about this so called global warming AL Gore

—————–

It is technically referred to as “climate change”. The term “global warming” is a media concoction.

It’s real but don’t worry; no one in a position of authority is going to make to stop idling your vehicle at Tim Hortons.

I for one, don’t mind the late snows. It will melt soon and when it does it will take a lot of the previous snow with it.

Axman , not to sound smug , but yes climate change is real , but there are those who are calling it global warming . The difference is that climate change is a natural occurrence where as global warming is hype and fear mongering. Truth , the way the world functions is not helping the environmental changes at all and we need to change how we do things . Anyone can look and see that climate changes are prevelant throughout the planets history . As for idling at timmies , not me . I go inside and get mine:)
