Snowfall to End in the Central Interior
Saturday, March 16, 2013 @ 7:12 AM
Prince George, B.C. – There’s a little more snow on the way for the Prince George area today before we finally see a break in the weather.
Environment Canada calls for periods of snow, ending this afternoon, then mainly cloudy with a slight chance of flurries. We should get another couple of centimeters before the system moves east. Cloudy with a 30 percent chance of flurries tonight . And Sunday, Monday and Tuesday should see a mix of sun and cloud. There are showers or flurries in the Wednesday forecast.
And, as we head toward the first day of spring, daytime highs will be just above or just below the freezing mark while overnight lows will be in the minus 8 to minus 11 range.

About friggen time. I am a staunch norther lifer and have no problem with snow, but man do I HATE the late snow storms. Seems to set spring back by a month.
I need some spring.
What! Wow gives me a day off of shovelling.
Your Options are!!
Move away from it.
Live with it.
Whine a bought it.
Love it.
yup global warming is a hoax. Pretty sure the polar bears are doing just fine.
Why do we live here again?
When Mr. Mann creates another “hockey stick”, my thoughts are that this late snowfall and temperature will be “sanded down” to not appear. It has to be that carbon tax we are paying. They said it was to be used to slow down “climate change and or global warming”. What more proof does one need? Raise , no double my carbon tax and watch our climate be like this 12 months a year. I doubt the dippers will discontinue the carbon tax. It would take one helluva an imagination to find a name for a replacement tax. Gasoline tax for my snowblower should be exempt. If I’m moving snow from one place to another how does that create climate change? Gotta find out if someone has invented a hydrogen powered snowblower.
There is virtually no snow south of Hixon and none south of Quesnel. That situatuation was reversed on soem previous years when Quesnel and Williams Lake had significantly more snow than PG.
So, not being in PG at the moment, how miuch actually did fall in the bowl area since Thursday morning? The for or five weeks before that, there really was no significant fall.
The library and UNBC webcams appear to be down. They give a far superior picture than the DriveBC webcams for PG.
“It would take one helluva an imagination to find a name for a replacement tax.”
Well, in PG we could create a particulate tax ….. ;-)
Make the tax fit the region.
After all, PG will likely be creating a Snow tax. The more it snows, the higher the tax.
They should be looking at an Administration tax. The more administration, the more tax ……
And a City buildings tax. The more City buildings, the more tax.
It does not take any imagination at all. THAT is the propblem!!! We have to keep it simple for the simpletons …. ;-)
Finding one’s own info is always the best, ;-)
Month: precipitation: snow on ground.
For the precipitation which fell as snow, multiply by 10
Oct : 76.1mm : 23cm
Nov : 22.2mm : 6cm
Dec : 26.7mm : 46cm
Feb : 19.1mm : 65cm
Mar including 15th : 24.0mm : 68cm
March 15, 2012 : 16.4mm : 34cm
Gus, the camera’s arnt down, they are covered in snow.
about 16″ in my yard when I plowed this morning. With my plow all the way up I was still pushing snow.
open the door on my pickup, it pushed snow back.
This one is not down; parking lot seems to be plowed; camers time is current; does not look too bad to me …. of course the city roads would be another story …. uncanny hpw these snowfals always happen just prior to a weekend when all the city workers and their contractors take the religious day of rest …. ;-)

BTW, I forgot to put the info down about what the measurements are. The last is the cm of snow on the ground on the last day or the month or the last measurement take inthe case of this March. The one previous to that is the precipitation in mm …. multiply by 10 to get snow depth equivalent on average.
I read the National Post today. (Saturday). Prince George got a full page on page 8. That ought to put us on the map in this country. Downside? It was about our Wooden Design Centre and the “misunderstanding” surrounding it. But HEY! We got Page 8 !!!
Did they get it straight?
Looks like they may have gotten it right …. from the paper: “And now the same entrepreneur â a recovered alcoholic and drug user â is alleging he was slandered by the same politician.”
Wow!!!!!
If it’s in the paper….it must be true. Right?
