Just after 4:00 am on Tuesday RCMP officers were dispatched to a report ofa male going through unlocked vehicles in a residential neighbourhood off Ospika Boulevard between Massey Boulevard and Ferry Avenue. A 44 year old man was arrested in the area. That investigation is continuing.

 

A similar incident occurred in the early morning of February 19^th. A man was spotted going through vehicles near Victoria Street and Ford Avenue and 15^th Avenue and Gillette Street. Police arrested the man and found he was in possession of two loaded ammunition magazines. They charged him with theft under $5000, possession of a firearm contrary to a court order and trespassing.  Richard Edward John pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 57 days in jail.
