Police Issue Warning About Vehicle Break Ins

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George RCMP are reminding vehicle owners to lock their vehicles and not leave anything valuable in them.
Just after 4:00 am on Tuesday RCMP officers were dispatched to a report ofa male going through unlocked vehicles in a residential neighbourhood off Ospika Boulevard between Massey Boulevard and Ferry Avenue. A 44 year old man was arrested in the area. That investigation is continuing.
A similar incident occurred in the early morning of February 19th. A man was spotted going through vehicles near Victoria Street and Ford Avenue and 15th Avenue and Gillette Street. Police arrested the man and found he was in possession of two loaded ammunition magazines. They charged him with theft under $5000, possession of a firearm contrary to a court order and trespassing. Richard Edward John pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 57 days in jail.

Is part of the story missing? Because loaded magazines are not a firearm.
They’re not, but he might be restricted from posessing both firearms and ammunition maybe? I’m not sure how restrictions/court orders are worded.
