Terrace, B.C. – A 22 year old male is  in custody in Terrace following a  stabbing over the weekend.

RCMP  say  a 20 year old male was stabbed  shortly after midnight Saturday night.  He was taken to the Terrace Hospital for  treatment of a stab wound  to the chest.  He remains in  hospital  and  his condition is said to be stable.

The  incident took place  near the  corner of Haugland Avenue and Pear Street.

A 22 year old male remains in Police custody and is facing charges of Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon. Both men were known to each other.
