Dix Visits P.G.
Wednesday, April 3, 2013 @ 3:55 AM
Prince George, B.C. – The leader of the Provincial New Democrats, Adrian Dix, is back in Prince George today.
This evening, he will attend the official opening of the campaign headquarters for two Prince George NDP candidates, Sherry Ogasawara and Bobby Deepak.
Tomorrow, he will be the keynote speaker at the Council of Forest Industries annual convention.

I heard that Dix caused the break up of the Beatles!
And he kidnapped Richie Sambora so he couldn’t finish the JBJ world tour!!
Come on you guys! Dix is an awesome fellow. He is honest and really looks out for his friends. Maybe while he is here he will write a few memos.
I cannot wait for the new book coming out on the last decade of the Liberals in power. It is called “Lies, Overruns & Scandals!”
How do you say his last name? Wonder what his middle name is? Maybe it starts with “S”.
Since we are the crime capital it’s only fitting that he spend a lot of time here.
A MEMOrable occasion, to be sure!
It’s amazing how in BC politics, the new way to the top is to keep your mouth shut and let the other party basically hang themselves, cut themselves down and finally bury yourself. Dix says nothing because he has nothing to say that is of any substance. We think we are punishing the ruling party but in the end we are punishing ourselves. Ladies and Gentlemen…this is going to get interesting.
Sometimes one has to toss out old, dirty laundry when its been around so long. This is the case here. We need new, fresh and crisp clothes and the Legislature needs a good airing out. Perfect time, its spring. But no use getting bent out of shape on who will form the next Govt. things will be fine, the sun will shine. Just like a new suit and wardrobe. After 4 years it to can be tossed.
Hope the election is on the issues not the person, sick of USA ads full of crap, negative shit may sell sometimes but I have had a belly full already.
“We think we are punishing the ruling party but in the end we are punishing ourselves”
Seems to me I recall a Civic election just like that not that long ago.
“Hope the election is on the issues not the person”
And the issues are? Have not heard much on any issues.

Hope the election is on the issues not the person….
——————–
But my issue in this case is Adrian Dix. We all know that politicians are untrustworthy but at least we need the illusion that they’re squeaky clean before the election.
He has already shown that he is in this for himself and his friends; he does not deserve to be the Premier.
Which of course raises the issue of what to do? Christy Clark has shown no leadership skills (in my opinion) since she took office. So who to vote for?
In my case, I will vote for the candidate that I feel will be best for my riding regardless of political affiliation. I’d vote for Bob Simpson (as an example) if I was in that riding.
The issues so far:
1. more of us, we promise to improve and never to pull that HST chit again.
2. me finally – I promise to do better than the gal/guy heading the NDP the last time. I work well with others ….
as always, promises, promises ….. which will not be kept because no one can predict future events over which we have no control ….. ;-)
Neat thing about being the leader, he can get others to do the forging for him now. ;-)
My biggest nightmare of punishing ourselves……..Mayor Skakun:(
Staples stores in Victoria will have a whole section of erasers and white out.
we all know where mattyc will be eating his cheeseburger today.
LOL AAV – A Croods toy and save 18 cents, someone will be Happy today!
Oh, where is that Conservative Candidate for PG-Valemount riding?
Shirley Bond versus Sherry Ogasawara …..no decision there ….. Sherry has 0 political experience and Shirley Bond has done a great job and has
Served her constituents well….. With Bell not running
Bobby Deepak stands a good chance of winning the NDP seat …. Christy on the other hand may not win her seat ….
I heard they are having a tough time getting Matty out of the ball pit at the MacDonalds on Victoria ;)
Management said he doesn’t play well with others.
I know Dix isn’t a fan favourite, but really, people should be equally concerned that Moe Sihota is NDP party President.
How is this guy even still in politics?
I met Moe on a plane heading to Victoria. He’s one smart guy. It’s funny how the perception is that all NDP MLAs are in bed with the unions. I never got that from Moe. He is a business man first. Of course, I don’t trust him.
Matty been saving money daily now that your ripoff HST is finally EXTINGUIHED. Not only Matty but every other voting citizen in this province. Not only cheeseburgers are cheaper now. More then 100 more things are now cheaper. For example did you HST lovers know that cannada post how now stopped charging HST? It also went back to what taxpayers voted for. PST. Many more examples are out there. In fact more then what is on that list we are now fimiliar with thanks to 0250. Thank you Bill and all the canvassers who made this possible. Hope you businesses are enjoying PST. The MAJORITY voted for that. Suck it up and pay your share.
Dix says nothing because he has nothing to say that is of any substance
===========================================
What do you mean he has nothing to say. Appears he is the “keynote” speaker at the forestry convention. Why dont you go there and hear what he has to say.
And if you think hes going to tell us whats in his platform to win the election he dosent have to say a word the liberals have already hung themselves.
Heres another idea you could send him a memo.
Cheers
I guess having your $72,000 per annum salary paid for by the unions isn’t really classified as being in bed with them ….
We need politicians who are brave enough to base their decisions on provincial, federal and global realities, not on some theoretical Fabian Socialistic motivation. It’s been tried and proven to be unworkable.
MattyC please enable spell check, it’s like trying to read a post from first week ESL student
“Suck it up and pay your share”
What was your share of Alberta taxes you paid for running over to another province and spending your money there?
You really can’t tell anyone to pay their share when you clearly chose to leave the province to make purchases and, by doing that, not paying your share.
The taxes will be paid. The businesses will survive. I think BIll VanderZalm should get the bill for the millions being spent on changing back and forth. This waffling makes us look silly.
What bunch of celebrity gossip – does anyone on this site actually care about the issues?
Oil & gas development, infrastructure investment, child poverty, job training, education and health care?
Guess you’d rather focus your efforts on catchy one-liners.
everyone’s on the NDP wagon and seeing they’re not communicating policy but are still getting votes … your right no one cares about the issues
“Suck it up and pay your share”
You should take your own advice and pay what you owe on your under the table income.
CRA is on the hunt after receiving a “tip”

ZZ99 .. I have to disagree … the ESL student is fluent in at least one language, often two and is trying to effectively communicate in a new language … in contrast to the noted poster saying the same thing over and over in progressively less effective terms .
In the north people tend to vote for the candidate not so much the party leader ….a good strong incumbent candidate usually gets the votes unless that person has really screwed up during their term in office. Who
are the known MLA, political leaders with skills, integrity and trust in the north ? I will name a few I believe fit the description, Leckstrom, Bell, Bond, Simpson, Donaldson.
Anotherside, I apologize for insulting any and all ESL students.
I would like for Adrian Dix leader of the NDP to return the $70,000 in severance pay he took when he was caught lying. I thought severance meant cutting ties. Also I suggest the PG Transit system make sure he does not forget to pay his fare while he is in Town. He has a habit of not remembering if he paid.
The BC Liberals nor the BCNDP deserve to govern this Province, simple as that.
I like Adrian he will show those capitalist where them bear did doo doo in the buckwheat.
And whats this about a $70,000.00 severance package. Bates got almost a $200,000.00 hand shacke when he left town.
Cheers
I’ve been think. We have enough Dix in PG already. They can be found driving down the Hart in the left lane.
It really explains a lot if you don’t know the difference between a person leaving a job under the terms of a pre signed agreement and a person being fired from a job for forging documents that were involved in an RCMP investigation and still got a $70,000.00 golden handshake.
This guy has no morals and should have been fired with cause and made to leave the building empty handed.
Retired 02, I can not find Bates name anywhere as the leader of any of the parties running for election.
With all those attack ads on Dix and all the Liberal shills attacking him on this site I think it is beginning to get to me. Every time I think of sleazy, conniving, untrustworthy, slimeball behavior I think of Christy Clarks Liberal Team!
Denaljo
But you also think Skakun should be mayor. ’nuff said.
With all those attack ads on Clark and all the NDP shills attacking her on this site I think it is beginning to get to me. Every time I think of sleazy, conniving, untrustworthy, slimeball behavior I think of Adrian Dix’s NDP Thieves!
* Fixed *
Just don’t say that his facial features are eerily similar to genus Mustela:P

Brian for Mayor!
You must have a thing for people who think that they are above the law.
Got any pen pals in the gray-bar hotel(hilton on the hill)?
Brian for Whiner!!!
Much better, weaksauce.
So Dix has no morals and Christy Clark and the B.C.Liberals do?
Now that is seriously funny!
We know that Clark and the lying B.C.Liberals are capable of just about anything to win an election…but the jury is still out on the Dix and the NDP.
Dix may be a complete screw up or he could be just fine.
So we are suppose to just forget about everything that has gone on with the B.C.Liberals?
That’s like comparing Attila the Hun with Bambi.
Do we even want to go there?
“So we are suppose to just forget about everything that has gone on with the B.C.Liberals?”
Why not – it seems everyone has forgotton what went on with the NDP last time. To listen to some people it was all roses with the province leading the modern world and unicorns in every kids bedroom last time they were in… I cannot believe the memories some people have (or, more appropriately, dont have)
Weren’t we a “have not” province under the NDP when they were in power?
Liberals have made B.C. a ‘have’ province
Joe Sawchuk, The Citizen
Published: Wednesday, December 28, 2011
The present B.C. Liberal government is on the right track regarding the management of B.C. taxpayer dollars.
Elected government in 2001, the B.C. Liberals inherited a “have not” province from the former NDP government. In 2002 the B.C. Liberals once again made B.C. a “have” province.
Both Manitoba and Nova Scotia have NDP provincial governments, and in the fiscal year 2011-12, the federal government will give Manitoba $1.6 billion and $1.1 billion to Nova Scotia for being “have not” provinces.
Manitoba and Nova Scotia require this “have not” money to cover for payments to education, health care, welfare, etc.
In summary, why ever think of changing the guard when B.C. is well managed?

================================
What kind of bullshit is this? The liberal and the media tried very hard to involve anyone in the NDP in corruption bur remember NO ONE was ever charged with corruption in the NDP government.
Its easy to dream up all this inuenda and shit that was supposidly happend when the NDP were the government but we dont have to dream about what has gone wrong since the liberals took office its right in our face,
Cheers
You’re right retired. The NDP were doing a very good job and were very popular, which is why they got voted down to 2 seats back in 2001. Or was that a dream too?
Right out of the Dix mouth.

When you are done these let me know and I will post more. Dix was not fired as chief of staff for being late for work, he admitted that he forged the documents in an RCMP investigation and was shown the door.
If I had a name like that I’d change it to Smith.
Just accept the facts now, how it is – and thats it. The PST is back – and I guess, most of the normal working people are happy with it.
I actually went today to the post office, did my mailing – and wow – what a surpise – mailing got 7 % cheaper. I do not mind that at all, as I do much mailing every month.
Then I went out for a nice lunch, met my friend there – and wow, no HST.
I really cannot complain about that – all these things add up and it is good for me, the counsumer.
Living is good again in BC.
Hope more would accept these facts and would stop whining!!!
“Dix was not fired as chief of staff for being late for work, he admitted that he forged the documents in an RCMP investigation and was shown the door.”
Can’t imagine him being the premier of the province, sorry.
When Dix was running for the leadership of the NDP, he made some comments that caught my attention. I made 3 separate attempts to contact him via email, each time asking him to clarify his statements for me. He’s been the leader of the NDP for a long time now and has yet to offer a response to my question.
Recently, I posed the same question to Sherry Ogasawara and Bobby Depak, our local NDP hopefuls. Neither of them has bothered to respond to my question.
I guess that this must be part of the NDP’s way to avoid any questions and to not offer any sort of policy platform.
Mr. Dix has been in Prince George several times since he ran for the leadership position. If he isn’t going to answer my email, then the least he could do is pick up the phone to give me a call! Maybe I should go the NDP love-in tonight to see if I can get an answer from Adrian, Sherry or Bobby!
It seems odd to me that there is no mention of Christy Clark on any of the Lieberal campaign literature. They are also billing themselves as the “new” Liberal party. Like we are supposed to forget Christy, Gordo and the past liberal party and cheerfully elect a new liberal government. No chance of the here.
