Alleged Police Impersonator Caught
Prince George, BC – RCMP are crediting tips from the public in the arrest of a suspect believed responsible for recent incidents of impersonating a police officer.
Prince George RCMP issued a warning to the public on Thursday, after two separate incidents on Wednesday evening in the area of 1st Avenue and Foothills Boulevard. In one case, an adult female driver was pulled over by what she believed to be a police ghost car with red and blue flashing lights. Police allege a man claiming to be a police officer threatened to seize the woman’s driver’s licence for previous driving infractions unless she performed a sexual act. Prince George RCMP Media Relations Officer, Corporal Craig Douglass, says a suspect was arrested in connection with the incidents yesterday thanks, in large part, to information received from the public.
Corporal Douglass says the man has since been released from custody on strict conditions and is facing several Criminal Code charges.
Douglass says, "The investigation is continuing and more details will follow early next week."

Maybe the police should own up and announce to the public that it was actually some PG citizens who caught the guy and handed him over to the cops.
Some good citizens of PG actualy went out and hunted this creep down, caught him in the act and held him till the police arived! Alot more than just giving the cops a tip.

Glad he did not try to pull me over,as I leave work late,,,he may have met the wrong person…what an ass, I mean really, how long did he think he was going to carry out this childish game and what did he think the outcome would be? Yes, he’s alleged to have pulled over a woman and requested sexual favours in place of a ticket. Good enough for me. The name of this sexual predator should be released to the public and he should get jail time. Lots of jail time. He can play cop in jail all he wants.

Yeah. Alleged. I know of a friend’s son who will be calling the RCMP and adding his name to the list of people “allegedly” pulled over too.
I see the posts are getting pulled up top. People must be venting in an angry way. This could ruin his life and he probably thinks it is funny. Hope he gets a fair but honest trial.
