A Knight Of Monty Python
DP Todd’s Grade 11/12 Drama class rehearses for this week’s performances
Prince George, BC – With spring proving to be as elusive as the search for the Holy Grail, drama students at DP Todd Secondary are offering up something ‘Short & Sweet’ to make for an enjoyable evening indoors…
Short & Sweet: a ‘K’night of Monty Python and Musical Comedy runs tomorrow night through Thursday at the secondary school on Hill Avenue.
Grade 11 student, Adam Clarke, says the evening will feature a collection of Monty Python sketches, with a few musical numbers thrown in for good measure. Clarke says the class has been working hard on their first public production of the year. He says it’s been an awesome experience.
Classmate, Shea-Lynn Richardson, shown directing the scene at right, agrees. Richardson says she’s really enjoyed working on the sets and gathering the props needed for this week’s performances.
She adds that proceeds from the $7 admission are going to help support a childhood friend, Leora Wildi.
Wildi, a student at PGSS, is battling two types of cancer and the DP Todd Drama class is hoping to raise funds to help her family with her monthly medication costs.
Showtime is 7pm in the Backlot Studio at the school. Due to the nature of some of the humour, the class is recommending no children under 12.
