U.S President Promises Full Weight of Justice in Wake of Bombing

Monday, April 15, 2013 @ 3:13 PM

Prince George, B.C.-   The President of the United States says   they do not know who  is responsible for the double blast at the Boston Marathon  today which claimed two lives and  injured  more than 50 others.

At a news conference just moments ago,  he  promised  the investigation will "get to the bottom of this"  and those responsible would feel the "full weight of justice".

Three marathon runners from Prince George were taking part in today’s Boston Marathon.  All three crossed the finish  line, and all three are o.k.

In addition to the  two  bombs that exploded, there was a third, which  officials located and defused.

There are reports  there is one person in  custody.

Its disgusting cowardice to attack a sporting event like this. Why don’t they attack the bankers or some other point of power that one could have legitimate grievances with, rather than the innocence of a soft target. To me this kind of attack just says they are attacking society and the freedoms and rights we have in society, and one has to wonder if these people have mental issues or are they ones that would benefit from such an attack on a free and open society.

Upon hearing of this bombing a certain idea popped into my head. I will keep that to myself until proven otherwise.

Eagleone: “Why don’t they attack the bankers or some other point of power that one could have legitimate grievances with”

Seriously?…

Eagleone, what a stupid comment. Why would you want this to happen to anyone? So you think it’s better for them to target a bank with innocent people inside to make their point. Think before you type you fool. How stupid.

I get Eagleone’s idea. I don’t think its about bombing bank tellers or innocent people. Either way, bombing anyone is wrong. I think it’s stupid that in this day and age, we are fighting holy wars

Wanna bet they discover the bombs were from North Korea and here starts another war on terror? Face Palm!!!

You have to wonder who is next on the USA hit list, sad day for sure because someone will pay maybe IRAN only big power left, see what happens.

Condolences to the injured and their families.

Ok Eagleone, you officially win the stupid comment of the month award!

Cowardly acts such as this are disgusting, period! The fact that it was a sporting event is of little concern, as it could have been a school, a theater or even a bank. The results would have been tragic regardless of the venue.

Today, innocent people going about their daily activities have been harmed and some have even lost their lives. We should be thinking of the tragedy with sadness and compassion for those at the center of it. We should not be wishing it upon others!

As I understand him Eagleone is just enunciating the same principle that leads most of us to condemn terrorism while condoning, in some circumstances, regular warfare, namely that for military action to be legitimate, it should target those responsible rather than the innocent and it should have a reasonable expectation of changing the situation. For sufficiently good reason, it’s alright to attack an enemy military installation, but it isn’t alright to attack children. Probably most of us wouldn’t accept targeting bankers either, but you can still make the point that, if you’re going to target something other than a military installation, you’re on better moral ground going after people who can be connsidered responsible for your grievance than going after people like the marathon runners and spectators who presumably have nothing to do with it. So, as I understand his point, he isn’t advocating going after bankers, he’s just pointing out that the marathon is an especially inappropriate target.

I had someone say that they should have bombed the IRS. The police and an ambulance were called, as half the McDonald’s showed what they thought about that comment. This was in Cheyenne Wyoming. Only a coward would do something like this, and I would think a good public beating is well earned for whomever planted the bombs.

make that out of the woodwork.

What really puzzles me is how this Alex guy and Glen Beck have people that listen to the drivel that they spout. Even Faux News got sick of Beck and cancelled his show.

Terrorist will do anything right. Nobody will know for a while what happened. I am surprised they haven’t found out yet. Geez can’t run a marathon without getting bombed. I sense Al-Qaeda. Although it could be one of their own. It’s hard to say.

If these 3 are IEDs, it may be the work of Al-Qaeda and connected to last week’s US sec. of state John Kerry’s visit to the middle east region. Kerry has a long history with the Boston Marathon and has been on the scene in the past Marathons.

Oh interesting

Thanks for the insight harbinger, awesome.

Jump right in bigots.

I thought it was 3 people killed. The president is reading the same cue cards George Bush uttered from when they bombed the World Trade Centre on 9/11. He said these people will feel the full weight of the justice system just 2 months before he ripped the intel report telling where Osama Bin Laden could be found. Remember that? I am not saying Barack Obama is a lying scum like Bush was but those do happen to be the same sentiments that little weasel did utter. It was the truth that he would never find Bin Laden nor bring him to justice. The people who believe they have are people who would love the show Zero Dark Thirty.

It still could be one of there own.

opps, their own

While I wasn’t saying its appropriate to bomb bankers… more of an argument that war should be for those involved in war… how can anyone argue the runners in the marathon or their spectators deserved this. My condolences to all involved… its a horrendous act of cowardice by the terrorists involved.

My first reaction is the only one deprived enough to organize such a horrendous act against innocence with the capacity to carry it out would be Assad in Syria. He has long said America is supporting terrorists against civilians in his country and that he would retaliate (or some other related false flag). I don’t see Iran or North Korea backed into the same corner, nor are they dumb enough not to care how the perception of such a naked dumb act of terrorism would reflect on their agenda they are trying to push. Assad on the other hand would just call it an eye for an eye (not that I think that is appropriate, just saying dictators backed in a corner think stupid things).

Point being that it makes no sense why one would attack a marathon of innocent people and think they could get any kind of motivational moral persuasion out of it.

This is an act of someone that hates the American way of life and the innocence of America, and feels American ignorance (their view not mine) is the source of their own depravities or injustice. Either that or its the act of an organization that wants more power over the American way of life and the constitutional rights that protect them. I can’t see it being anyone else. Both potential enemies are real and the appropriate defendant should be met with a strong prosecution based on the rule of law where the investigation follows IMO.

North Korea would announce they are going to do this even if they didn’t really plan to do it. They are the least likely to be involved IMO.

Also North Korea I don’t think would want the anniversary of their dead leader remembered in this way. They would go full nuclear or nothing at all. Assad however is a coward he would have no problem creating this perception… Maybe Assad and Kim have some bad blood for some shaky Khan nuclear deals paid but not delivered for… hence the anniversary attack date.

Most of the world was expecting a nuclear launched missile from North Korea today… who ever did this surely figured to create further chaos with this attack and used the opportunity to pile on. North Korea walked back from the brink when their bluff was called, I don’t think they would do this as anti climatic as a nuclear launch would have been.

If a bunch of N. Koreans even made it to Boston, looked around and bought some cream pie, I think they would dump their bomb in a dumpster and then defect. I would.

Eagledone, is if quacks like a duck, it’s a duck.
If it speaks like a bigot, it’s a bigot. I rest my case. Shame on you!!!!!!

Sure, you make no sense. Whats your point? Trying to figure something out objectively makes a bigot in your small world? Remind me not to invite Mr.opinionated to a brainstorming session.

So I should only be pro Syrian Assad in order not to be a bigot… lol. Nice friends you have opinionated. Shame on you.

The first sign of a real bigot is someone that shouts down an opinion by calling a person a bigot without giving any reason for saying so other than a nursery rhyme. Simplistic bigotry at its worst.

Classic North American views. “Blame the east, it couldn’t possibly be one of us.” Pathetic.

If it was domestic terrorism, than what is the motive to attack innocent people at a marathon? I think we will find out who it was soon enough and even then it won’t make sense.

*then.

Why do thieves break into our houses? Why do serial killers kill so many people? Why do people still think it’s ok to force them selves upon others in violent or sexual acts? Others decide to bomb innocent people. The americans do it every other day as it seems, but do we hear about the hundreds of llives lost over there? No. Because that’s just what some people do whether we like it or not. Motive or just bat s#!+ crazy, maybe we will find out, maybe not.

One life lost is a tragedy, but millions is treated like a statistic.

I would think Assad is kinda busy right now just trying to survive, I for one would not be surprised if it was domestic terrorism. Any one else recall Timothy Mcvie ? Not sure if the last name is spelt correctly, but the US is full of hate groups and militias. My bet would be that it was domestic, but we will see.

Tim McVay (spl?) bombed a federal building with federal officers he was after… he at least had a motive. Bombing a marathon on Patriot day doesn’t come across as domestic.

The ball bearings are more the hall mark of a Hamas type operation. Hamas is trained by the Syrian Alawites that keep Assad in power.

The Taliban already came out and said they had nothing to do with this. This kind of bombing was even beyond the pale for some of the lowest of terrorists on the planet. They said they don’t know who did it, which would rule out a lot of the Sunni’s… that leaves the Shia and the Alawites who have motive and tend to use these types of bombs in Israel and Lebanon.

Assad knows no shame and has terror cells around the world to do his bidding… Assad accuses America of the same crimes in his country, so no doubt this is revenge on his part. Damascus is going to fall soon and he knows it.

IMHO

Why would what President Obama says about this even be news? Of course they are going to use their full weight to go after this person or persons. Duh! I think it would only be news if they didn’t go “full force” after this attack.

Very deep thoughts eagle, only problem with your analysis is that the bombs were packed with nails and no mention of ball bearings, I’d still lay money on domestic.

That ding a ling Alex Jones thinks it is a “red flag”. You could run with that.

Whoever made the bombs they wanted to cause a lot of pain and suffering on the celebration of the Patriot’s day in Boston. So far no group has taken credit for it.

3 years ego in the Times Square bombing attempt by Pakistani born Shahzad, Taliban took credit and that bomb had also been packed with nails. One of the suspects of that bombing was also a taxi driver in Boston. Taliban is currently in talks with the US in Qatar, so they won’t be stupid to derail their negotiations.

It could be homegrown terrorism, but if it is linked to Al-Qaeda, then it would be linked to some of the Arab anti-Assad forces who have publicly announced a merger with Iraqi based Al-Qaeda branch recently. Regardless, it is a schizophrenic foreign policy to get rid of Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and help them into power in Syria or another country.

DEBKAfile reported of a possible link to Al-Qaeda of Arabia and the FBI search of the apartment of one of the 3 Suadi citizens in the US.

for what its worth bonneville, there are several news sites reporting “shards of metal, nails and ball bearings”

Harbinger, an interesting angle on the domestic side is that McVeigh bombed Murrah Bldg on Patriots’ Day in 1995, and the Branch Davidian Waco assault also happened on Patriots Day.

Patriots Day celebrates the pre-Revolutionary War battles of Lexington and Concord. These battles were fought to stop the British from disarming the American settlers of their guns so they would be defenseless against a British attack. In light of the intense gun debate in the USA currently taking place I guess one can’t rule out that angle either… the other Patriots Day incidents had similar motivations. Maybe its something in the American psych that non Americans just don’t fully understand.

If it is domestic I think it would likely be the work of a lone bomber, because who in their right mind would go along with a plot like that. Finding out how the bombs were triggered would likely tell a tale on how organized this was.

DEBKA file is a Mossad owned, set up, controlled, and operated propaganda dissemination web site. One has to realize anything you read on that web site is the world how Israel would like you to see it. Sometimes great intel, but always with an ulterior motive.

Many others have reported that FBI searched the house. It is one of the leads considering that the pressure cooker design of the bomb is from an Al-Qaede booklet too. But it is not clear where the trail of evidence will lead the investigators to.
