Prince George, BC -A disputed motor vehicle act offence turned into more than the driver anticipated in court this morning.
On Thursday, April 18th 2013, a professional truck driver from Quesnel attended traffic court in Prince George to dispute a minor Motor Vehicle Act & Regulation charge.
As a result of his own testimony, he has been arrested for perjury.
The court found him guilty of the minor offence and he now faces the serious criminal charge of perjury.

LOL, should have just paid the fine I guess :)
Kind of short on details. Defendants and the Crown often disagree as to what took place without a charge of perjury being laid. I wonder what happened.
Short and sweet, he lied. No integrity.
More details needed.
Pretty sure the details would read:
“The professional truck driver was caught lying to the judge while under oath”
But how do you catch him lying? If he lied and the cop responded with a different story, it would be one guy’s word against the other. No way to determine who is lying.
Unless there is proof, ie a video showing otherwise. I would still like to hear more…
The story said the charge resulted from his own testimony so I’m assuming he contradicted himself in front of the judge when trying to get out of the ticket and the judge called him on it.
A name would help.
Driver from aisia???
No house arrest..what is this world coming to:)
