rince George, B.C. – The "Junk in the Trunk"sale has grown from it’s innaugural appearance of a year ago.
Today’s event had 50 praticipants, more than double the 21 who signed up for a stall to sell their wares last year.
It’s an event the Regional District of Fraser Fort George hopes to expand "We are putting today’s event on in conjunction with Earth Day" says Rachel Ryder, the Regional District’s Waste Diversion Program Leader. "We plan to have another event like this this fall, that way folks can clear up before the snow flies, and follow it up with a similar spring cleaning event."
It’s all about making one person’s trash, another person’s treasure says Ryder, and it’s especially helpful to those who may not have a garage, or property to hold a garage sale.

How about holding this once a month during the summer?
This is an excellent idea. It should go on every weekend.
A turnout of 0.2% of households in PG is not a big success. The motorcycle riding course drew a bigger crowd at the CN Centre parking lot. Why plan an event when there is hardly any advance notice? This was posted on the RDFFG web a week ago and in the paper three days ago. Half-assed (Thesaurus.com)
Lady in the pic looks kinda bundled up. No global warming/climate change here yet on this date? Maybe next year. I’ll wait.
Great event. Not sure why the poster above never knew.. It was well advertised.
