Crappy Spring? We Are Not Alone

Prince George, B.C. – The owner operator of the largest plant nursery in the region, Jos Van Hage of Art Knapp’s says this spring is the latest he has seen in his 33 years in the region.
"Last year we were running about two weeks late, we didn’t have the same amount of snow, but the weather stayed cold until July when we finally got summer" says Van Hage. "This year we are about two weeks later than last year and we still have snow."
"It’s funny" says Jos, "south of a line about Quesnel they have had no snow for a long time and spring has come at the normal time. You don’t have to go much further north of Quesnel to see the change"
Prince George is not the only area experiencing a cooler, late spring "I belong to the Canadian Nursery Association" says VanHage, "once you cross the Rockies into the Prairies they have been experiencing the same kind of weather we have here. They still have snow, lot’s of snow, the weather has been cold from Edmonton to Calgary, and right over to Winnipeg."
So if misery loves company, we should feel pretty good because we are not alone.

Global warming is the cause!
It is what it is, make do with it :)
First frost free day June 17th. Any bets? Josh should write to Al Gore or David Yamaha to get the skinny on his predickament.
I disagree. Rarely this winter have we had a cold spell below minus ten, and Powder King only had 200cm base this year when most years its over 500cm. My house is at least a couple of weeks ahead of last year for snow melt.
Hope this shows up when someone constructs a new “hockey stick”.
100% agree with Jos. Where I am there is still over a foot and a half of snow on my property whereas previous years have been little or none. Still waiting till April 25 though. That is when I keep pictures
My lawn is almost ready for its first mow, clear of all snow, and I live in the Hart. Last year it was early May before all the snow was gone.
